1. Before you hire

• Check the business holds any licence its trade needs, with your local licensing authority.
• Get a written quote, and more than one for bigger jobs.

2. Paying

• Don't pay the full amount up front. Agree any deposit in writing. Some places limit how big a deposit can be - check your local rules.
• Pay electronically or get a receipt.

3. Out-of-date listings

• Use Report on a listing that has closed or has wrong details, and the team will check it.
