How it works

1. Starting a buy

• Sign in and press Start a buy.
• Say what you're buying, what one unit is, the prices (cheaper as more join), the minimum needed to go ahead and the closing date.

2. Joining

• Open a buy, say how many you want and give your mobile.
• The organiser confirms you. Your number goes only to them.

3. When it closes

• The day after the closing date it goes ahead if the minimum was reached - otherwise it is called off and nobody pays.
• Everyone is told in My buys.

4. Paying and collecting

• Once it goes ahead, the organiser tells everyone how to pay and collect.
• You pay the organiser directly. The site never handles money.

5. Asking for a buy

• Want something bought in bulk? Press Ask for a group buy. Others can say they'd join, and you'll all be told when someone starts it.
