Safety measures

1. Who can use it

• Signed-in adult members only, with their real name and a mobile number.

2. Sharing costs, not a business

• Contributions cover running costs only and never make a profit.
• They are paid directly between members. The site takes no fee.

3. Drivers

• A valid licence, a registered and roadworthy car, and insurance that covers cost-shared passengers - check with your insurer.
• A seatbelt for every passenger.
• Never drive tired or affected by alcohol or drugs.

4. Passengers

• Be at the pickup on time.
• Drop out as early as you can if you can't make it - the trip page shows the cut-off.
• Tell someone you trust about your trip.

5. Meeting

• Check the other person's profile link and track record before your first trip.
• The exact pickup point is shared only after a seat is accepted.
• Meet somewhere public the first time.

6. On the trip

• Either person can end the trip at a safe place.

7. Problems

• Use Report on the trip. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

8. The site's role

• The site puts members in touch. It does not check drivers or cars and is not part of the trip.
