Posting (signed-in members)

• Report Lost or Report Found, with a type (e.g. Animal, Keys, Wallet, Phone), a description, where and when, your suburb, contact details and a photo.

Browsing

• Lists: Lost and Found, with category buttons, a search box, and a suburb-and-distance filter.
• Contact details show to signed-in members only.
• Lost and found items can also appear on partner websites.

Arranging it (between the people, off the site)

1. Someone recognises the item and gets in touch.
2. The finder can note Contacted owner on the post.
3. Once it’s back home, Mark returned closes it and moves it to the archive. A post no longer needed can be cancelled.

Housekeeping

• Every step is kept in the post’s history: reported, found, contacted, returned.
• Only the person who posted it, or a site admin, can change a post.
